Indoor Air Quality

ProView Inspections uses professional grade Breeze ET air pumps to collect air samples in the home to be analyzed by a local lab.

If you smell unusual odors in a home or experience headaches, nausea, or other adverse health symptoms, you may have indoor air quality (IAQ) concerns.

Testing Your Home: ProView Inspections uses a professional air sampling pump to pull air through a one-use cassette that traps contaminants or spores that may be present in the air. With the basic IAQ service, we take three air samples—two samples from high-activity locations inside the house and one sample outdoors as a control sample. For larger homes, we recommend additional samples. Then, we take the cassettes to a local independent lab for analysis to detect pollutants such as mold spores, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and other harmful substances. The air sample results provided by the laboratory should be considered as just one factor when examining a house for mold and other air quality issues.

Based on the results, a number of improvements can be made such as fixing leaks, removing sources of pollutants,  improving ventilation, or adding an air purifier.
